Providing criminal penalties for subjecting incarcerated inmate to
sexual contact.

CODE REFERENCE: New: §25-1-22
PROPOSED LAW PRESENTED TO THE COMMITTEE: The committee substitute
creates a new section in Article 1 Chapter 25 designated Section 22
which creates the offence of sexual intercourse or intrusion by an
employee of corrections (state or contract) with an inmate or
parolee. Penalties are 1 to 5 years and up to a fine of $5000 or
both.
